Andrew Cromarty, CEO

Dr. Andrew Cromarty is CEO of City Lights Network. Prior to founding City Lights Network, he served as Chairman of Freewire Networks Inc., a Lucent broadband wireless spinoff; CTO of SoftNet Systems Inc., a billion-dollar publicly-traded broadband services corporation; CTO of Aerzone Inc., the premier 802.11 (Wi-Fi) hotspot service provider; founder and President/CEO of Distributed Systems Technology, a web services company that pioneered web hosting; CTO/CIO of DAX Solutions, the premier provider of digital dailies services and collaborative workflow solutions to the Hollywood film and TV industry; and CTO/CIO of Union Square Advisors, a San Francisco investment bank specializing in technology M&A and private placements.

Dr. Cromarty has been an entrepreneur, marketer, and manager in Silicon Valley for over twenty years. He has directed numerous Internet firsts, including first delivery of 1,000,000 live streamed videos via Internet for an event webcast (Mars Pathfinder Landing, July 1997), the first live wireless webcasts (1996 Vancouver International Film Festival), and the first webcast to bring together the major industry competitors to cooperate on a single webcast event (Dalai Lama webcast, Los Angeles, June 2000). He earned his doctorate in Computer & Information Science, and holds additional degrees in Computer & Information Science, Music, Biology and Psychology.
